Boxing legend Naoya Inoue is excite about headlining the Cinco de Mayo celebrations in Las Vegas as he prepares for his big return to the United States next month.
With a stellar record of 29-0, it’s no wonder Naoya Inoue is widely considered to be one of the best boxers on the planet. The scariest part is that he continues to go from strength to strength, with 26 of his 29 registered victories in professional boxing coming via TKO/KO. Now, he has a new challenge on his hands, as he prepares to go hea dto head with Ramon Cardenas on May 4.
The contest will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada – marking the first time that Naoya Inoue has competed in the United States since mid-2021. For his last eight fans, he’s been back home in Japan, enjoying his position as one of the sport’s greatest athletes.
Of course, the date of May 4 is significant, as Naoya Inoue’s fight will be part of the traditional Cinco de Mayo celebrations. According to the man himself, that’s something that he’s relishing.
Naoya Inoue looks forward to US return
“I don’t know if I’ll make it back to No. 1 with this fight, but with September, December and next year … I hope to get back with those fights,” Inoue told reporters gathered at his media workout Wednesday at the Westside Boxing Gym. “I’m really looking forward to it. I know it is a legendary day for boxing, and I’m very pleased I’m in the main event.”
