Showtime Release Trailer for Upcoming Hector Camacho Documentary

Showtime Sports Documentary Films has just dropped a trailer for its upcoming documentary MACHO: THE HECTOR CAMACHO STORY.

The film shines a light on one of boxing’s most colorful and charismatic characters. The Puerto Rican fighter shared the ring with such names as Roberto Durán, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Oscar De La Hoya. He held multiple world titles throughout his career including the WBC Super Featherweight and Lightweight straps.

The film premieres on Dec. 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME. It will be released eight-years after Camacho was fatally shot in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Two-time Emmy Award winner Eric Drath (Assault in the Ring and No Más, 30 for 30) directs the movie. Camacho’s family’s co-operated in the making of the film which includes interviews with mother, Maria Matias, sisters, wife Amy and son Hector Jr.
