Strongmen Eddie Hall and Hafpor Bjornsson Being Scheduled For Sept 2021

Former World Strongest Men Eddie Hall and Hafpor Bjornsson have been linked to a bout opposing one another which is now set to go ahead in September 2021.

MTK Global will be involved as boxing advisors for hosting the event. The event will be co-promoted by Core Sports, and is looking to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Let’s get into some of their strongman credentials.

Eddie Hall qualified for the 2012 and 2013 World’s Strongest Man, but didn’t place until 2014. That year he placed sixth, in 2015 he placed fourth, in 2016 he placed third, and he won it in 2017.

He placed twice in the Arnold Strongman Classic, sixth and ninth, he’s a five-time Britain’s Strongest Man, a six-time UK’s Strongest Man, and a two-time England’s Strongest Man.

Hafpor Bjornsson has placed eight times at the Worlds Strongest Man, never placing below third, coming in second three times, and winning it once.

He’s placed nine times in the Arnold Strongman Classic, coming in second once and winning it three times. He’s a five-time Europe’s Strongest Man, and a one-time second place.

Bjornsson has won and placed in numerous other tournaments, as did Hall, but we at BoxingDaily are going over the more important ones. It’s crazy to think there’s actually more competitions they’ve won or done very well in.

We’ll finish it off with Bjornsson being an 18-time Iceland’s Strongest Man, and having placed third once, the first year he competed in it. He also won it twice that year, given these are broken from three different Iceland Strongman contests.

It’s a wonder how much skill will be involved in this bout, but it should be interesting to see nonetheless.

Hall is still just 32-years-old, and he stands 6’3”, weighing roughly 350 lbs. Bjornsson is also still very young, turning 32-years-old in two days. He stands 6’9” and has weighed over 400 lbs before for his competitions.

This will literally be the heaviest fight in boxing history. Who takes it?
