Tommy Fury defeats Kenan Hanjalic in boxing return
Tommy Fury defeated Kenan Hanjalic last night in his return to the ring to take his professional boxing record to 11-0.
As we know, people tend to have mixed thoughts on Tommy Fury. While he certainly has a lot of fans, many believe that his surname – alongside his ‘celebrity’ status – are the big reasons why such a spotlight shines on him. Either way, though, he continues to play a big role in this sub-genre of boxing, and that’ll likely be the case for a while.
In truth, Tommy Fury struggled to impress in this contest. He seemed to be suffering from ring rust after 18 months away from the squared circle, but the most important thing is that he was able to get his hand raised in victory.
Following the fight, Tommy Fury made it clear what his intentions are for the next phase of his career.
Tommy Fury looks ahead after big win
“I’ve been through a hell of a lot these last two years. I’ve been through things that tear men down – drunk, alcoholic,” Fury said.
“I lost my family for a little bit. But I’ve turned things around, I’ve gone from being low to being on top of the world again.”
“Jake Paul’s running scared, Hey, Jake, the hand is fixed now,” he said.
“If Jake Paul wants to step inside this ring, I guarantee you next time I will knock him spark out.
“I’ve had two years out of the ring, this is me after two years. I will knock that bum out wherever he wants it.”
