Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano Betting Preview
All great boxing rivalries have more than one fight in the series – and some even have trilogies. For Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, their three-year saga will come to an end on July 11 when they collide for the third time at Madison Square Garden.
In a lot of ways, this rivalry has defined the careers of both women. Some would argue against that given all they’ve accomplished, but within the context of women’s boxing, this has been one of the most significant feuds we’ve ever seen.
In terms of quality between the two, the quality of their fights and, mainly, the mainstream attention they’ve received, it’s been on a different level. Taylor and Serrano have a lot to thank Eddie Hearn and Jake Paul for in that regard, but it’s these two who have been able to really bring the action.
The big hope now is that we get the very best of them for a third time, even at their respective ages of 39 (Taylor, by the time of fight night) and 36 (Serrano). They seem to be aging brilliantly for the most part, but there’s always a worry that they won’t quite be able to live up to what they’ve previously done.
Hopefully, with the lights shining bright in New York City, they can prove the doubters wrong.

Alas, even if that isn’t what you’re after, we imagine you’ve read this far because you’re genuinely fascinated to see how these two foes approach this contest, given how much they know about each other.
For Taylor, we’ve seen that she has just about done enough to earn favour with the judges in their last two meetings, given that she’s 2-0 up in the series. This time around, though, you’d have to think they’ll be keeping a closer eye on things given the controversy surrounding those previous decisions.
She needs to stick and move and avoid being drawn into any big exchanges, which somewhat goes against everything she’s about as a boxer – but when you’re dealing with a motivated Serrano, you have to try everything in your power to overcome the odds.
Speaking of Serrano, we expect her to really throw the kitchen sink at this. It is her last chance at beating the Irish legend, and while you’d think that’ll mean she’s even more aggressive than usual, her coaches will need to warn her against the threat of being too careless.
She’s an absolute pro and we don’t think she’ll get sucked into that trap so easily, but there will be a lot of lingering frustration following two failed attempts to overcome Taylor already.
In our view, this is going to be the moment that Amanda finally rises up and gets the victory she has been so desperately seeking. It’ll be close, as it always is, but the sun will finally shine on her.
Official prediction: Amanda Serrano defeats Katie Taylor via unanimous decision
