Anthony Joshua Fires Back At Claims He Ducked Deontay Wilder

Joshua Wilder

Anthony Joshua wants to put the notion that he has ducked fighters to rest.

Although slated to fight Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch for his heavyweight titles, it remains to be seen what will happen given the situation in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Joshua has claimed he would be open to a fight in the interim. However, it will seemingly only be against top opposition as “AJ” doesn’t seem interested in fighting the likes of Joe Joyce or Otto Wallin.

“Lol ok … I’ve shared this ring with most people you see in the heavyweight division today! I boxed Otto wallin twice as youngsters & I boxed joe and stopped him in 1 round. I’d do the same thing today! Ain’t nothing changed.”

When a fan responded by claiming he ducked Deontay Wilder, another responded by posting a tweet from the latter claiming he turned down a more lucrative fight with Joshua in order to give Tyson Fury a rematch.

First, Joshua responded sarcastically.

“Yes I’m scared.”

Then, he responded to the Wilder tweet.

“Need I say more! Let’s put this “ AJ ducked “ saga to rest. I respect wilder he’s a good fighter. He just wasn’t ready to fight me! If you don’t believe me. See below”

It certainly wouldn’t be the worst thing to see Joshua finally end up facing Wilder in the meantime.
