Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury – Betting Preview

It’s the fight that quite literally everyone has wanted to see – especially in the United Kingdom – for over a decade now. While some would argue that the best time for this bout to take place has been and gone, there’s still no denying the fact that Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury is a must-see. Of course, the fight hasn’t even been confirmed yet, and rumours can lead you down a disappointing path, but we’re getting out ahead of things by giving our thoughts on this superfight.
For the longest time, these two men were the best heavyweights on the planet. While you could certainly make the argument that this is no longer the case, they’re definitely still two of the most marketable. Joshua is better known within the UK bubble, whereas Fury has managed to become something of an international superstar thanks to his fights in the United States.
They’re both coming off of losses with Joshua falling to Daniel Dubois and Fury being beaten twice by Oleksandr Usyk. Still, anyone who thinks this wouldn’t sell out Wembley Stadium ten times over is lying to themselves. This is an absolutely massive fight, and the stakes involved are actually quite simple: pride.
It’s about proving that you’re the best British heavyweight of your generation or at the absolute minimum, proving that you can handle the pressure when the lights are on bright. There’s a chance Fury doesn’t even want to entertain the idea of making this fight happen, but when the Saudis come forward with their offer, something tell us he may change his mind.
So whether you’re interested in non Gamstop betting sites or you just want to know a bit more about this showdown, we’re here to run through what we think is going to happen if (and in our opinion, when) Anthony Joshua battles Tyson Fury.
The important thing to establish here is that neither man is at their very best these days. However, we do feel as if it’s important to note where both seem to have stumbled. For Fury, we believe it’s a simple case of him not quite having the same drive he once did, in addition to not being quick enough to deal with what Usyk was throwing back in his direction.
For Anthony Joshua, it feels a bit different. In addition to his skills somewhat declining, his performance against Daniel Dubois seemed really bizarre. His ring IQ just wasn’t at the level we’ve come to expect from him, and even when he managed to hurt Dubois at the tail end of the fight, he was so careless in how he approached the situation.
This one is going to come down to who reverts back to what brought them to the dance. Fury is the better pure boxer, and we’d like to believe both men will show up with the intention of putting on a performance for the ages. In the end, though, it’ll be ‘The Gypsy King’ who walks away with a finish from what we hope will be an absolute classic.
