David Haye To Make Boxing Comeback Against Joe Fournier On De La Hoya Undercard

David Haye is set to make his return to the ring.

According to various reports, Haye will face Joe Fournier on the undercard of the Oscar De La Hoya vs. Vitor Belfort event taking place September 11 in Los Angeles.

As per Triller — who are promoting the event — it will be an eight-round heavyweight matchup.

Haye, 40, retired from boxing in 2018 following two successive TKO defeats to Tony Bellew. A unified cruiserweight champion and regarded as one of the top boxers from Britain, injuries sadly affected Haye’s career towards the latter half.

Entrepreneur-turned-boxer Fournier, meanwhile, remains undefeated at 9-0 though his level of competition is much lower than the average boxer’s.

His last outing was a stoppage win over Colombian singer Reykon back in April.

Also set to be added to the card is a boxing matchup between former UFC champions Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz.

Silva notably outpointed Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in his return to boxing in June.
