Tyson Fury Would Love To Box Mike Tyson In Exhibition If Dillian Whyte Fight Doesn’t Happen

Tyson Fury is willing to go the exhibition route if his four-fight plan doesn’t work out.

The WBC heavyweight champion is set to defend his title against Deontay Wilder in a trilogy fight taking place October 9 in Las Vegas.

Recently, Fury declared his four-fight plan following the trilogy which includes fighting Dillian Whyte in December, a pair of fights with Anthony Joshua in 2021 before a fight with Derek Chisora.

Of course, negotiations aren’t that simple and should the Whyte fight not happen in December, Fury has an alternate plan he would love to make happen.

“I loved watching Mike Tyson come back and fight, I’d love to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibition,” Fury told iFL TV (via Michael Benson). “If the Dillian Whyte fight don’t happen, then I’d love to fight Mike in an exhibition. Tyson vs Tyson. Past vs Present.”

Of course, the chances of this happening are highly unlikely as it would be extremely hard to sanction in the first place.

Even if it were sanctioned, there would likely be too many rules in place — such as no knockouts allowed — to make it a fair fight given the age difference.

That said, Tyson did look good when he made his return to boxing against Roy Jones Jr. in their exhibition match last year.

However, the former heavyweight champion should only be fighting boxers his age if he is to continue competing.
